Awesome Report Q NickTech

This is the original auto-refreshing report queue (...use to be a big deal).
I keep it going because I like an automatic 10 second count down. As apposed to the built in button that you can set to refresh every 30 seconds (and forgets that you set it that way).

Other features:

  • Includes new versions of the PowerTeacher and ReportWorks report queues.
  • Each report row will display a refresh icon which when clicked will re-submit the job.  This is just an easier way to re-run a report without having to click the report name, check the re-run check box, and click submit. Saves a bunch of clicks when testing new object reports.
  • Adds the target="_blank" attribute to every completed link so the reports open in a new tab. Might as well seeing everyone's browser is previewing PDFs these days.
  • Adds a "Download" link next to the normal "View" link.
  • Adds a column to the admin report queue showing which school the report was run under.
  • Fully translatable.
Class Roster Auto-Loader NickTech

The System Reports > Class Roster (PDF) function is a great way to get class information out of the system in a nice printable format.  However... try explaining to your office staff that after they took the time figuring out all the parameters, field names, and column widths, to create the roster, they cannot save it for future use!

This plugin allows PowerSchool admin users to save "roster sets" to a drop-down menu on the page. All users can save "personal" roster sets. You may give particular security groups permission to create roster sets for their school, or multiple schools/the entire district.

The page also includes a handy little javascript which will calculate the width of the fields you have specified, and display the total underneath the "roster columns" box. This was included to get around the annoying task of running a report to see if your column widths where okay.

Enrollment Queue/Demographic Update MAISD Online enrollment, yearly forms and demographic info update within the Parent Portal.
FormLetters+ (sqlFormLetters) Freund Resources

FormLetters+ (formerly known as sqlFormLetters) is a free plugin that allows one to create form letters, plus individual student and staff reports.  The output is an HTML page containing all of the letters, but when printed, page breaks will create individual letters and reports.  The content of the letters can be just text, text and field and DAT references, or text and some of the content created using SQL.  FormLetters+ can run in either the admin or teacher portal.

Advantages:

  • Flexibility - letters can be based on just text, or include SIS coding and DAT's.  Also, SQL can be used to create letters that can't be created using legacy systems like object reports or ReportWorks, such as letters with a list of courses with low grades, teacher recommendations, a list of office visits, etc.
  • Letters or Individual Reports - in addition to creating form letters, one can create individual student and staff reports, such as student schedules, permission slips, health office information, and even report cards.
  • HTML Coding - FormLetters+ is HTML based and CSS and HTML coding can be used to specify the layout and look of the letter.
  • Custom Letters - basic letters can be created using the FormLetters+ user interface, but more complicated letters can be created as HTML pages that can be run with FormLetters+.
  • Letters in One Place - the FormLetters+ home page allows users to find the letters easily.  In fact, FormLetters+ is coded similar to sqlReports, and includes a lot of the same functionality, such as Run Access and drop-downs.
Positive Behavior Acknowledgment MAISD Allows teachers and admin staff to acknowledge students' positive behaviors, track data over time, and automatically notify parents and students.
PowerScheduler Enhancements TE Tech

This plugin is designed to supercharge your PowerScheduler reports by enabling Excel-style editing right within the report. No more navigating to other pages to correct or change the data displayed on the report.

Enabled Reports

The plugin is enabled for the following reports:

1. Course List: This is a great place to go when you begin your scheduling season. It lists all the courses offered at your school, along with all of the pertinent data used by the scheduling engine.
2. Have a Report in Mind?: If you have a report in mind that you think would benefit from this plugin, please don't hesitate to open an issue

Features

1. Undo Functionality: Made a mistake? No worries! Just press `Ctrl+Z` or `Command+Z` to undo the last change.
2. Validation: The Y/N columns only accept 'Y' or 'N' as values. If the value is not 'Y' or 'N', the cell will turn red and the value will not be saved. This ensures your data is always accurate.
3. Error Handling: If there's an error, a modal will pop up with the error message and options. If the problem persists, you can enter an Issue on our Github repo.
4. Build and Load / Load Only Aware: Some fields should not be edited if the report is in "Load Only" mode. The plugin is aware of this and will disable the fields accordingly.

sqlLabels Freund Resources sqlLabels is a reporting engine report that can take a sqlReport and create an output of Avery 5160 mailing labels based on the sqlReport.  Using the SQL from the sqlReport makes everything very powerful and very flexible, and best of all, no cumbersome contacts DAT's to try to figure out!
Start Screen Fields META This plugin will add up to 3 student fields as additional columns to the Start Screen Student Selection.
Student Schedule Search JMK

Schedule Search allows you to search live active student schedules for holes or conflicts. It breaks your school year down into parts, regardless of how many different size term portions you have, (multiple term portions of sizes 1 through 12 supported) and searches for any holes or conflicts no matter how small.

After installation, switch to a school (this does not function in District mode), click the Schedule Search button, and a dialog customized to your school will pop up offering to search through either the currently selected students or the enrolled students. You can also select which parts of your school year you wish to search as well as which day/period combinations you are interested in. Finally you select whether you are searching for holes or conflicts or both and click search.

Any students matching the search parameters will be automatically selected.
